Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 27, 2026
This policy explains how the Calendar Event Generator browser extension for Chrome, Chromium, and Firefox handles data when creating calendar events, ICS files, and QR codes in the browser popup.
Event data is processed inside the browser on the user's device. Event title, dates, location, description, reminders, organizer, and attendees are not sent to InetTools servers. Data is sent to a third party only when the user clicks a button to open the event in an external calendar provider.
The extension may save the current event draft in the browser's localStorage so the entered values can be restored when the popup is opened again. This draft is stored locally in the browser and is not synchronized with InetTools servers.
ICS text, the .ics file, and the QR code are generated locally in the extension. Copying ICS, downloading a file, and saving a QR image happen only after an explicit user action. If the user opens the event in Google Calendar, Yandex Calendar, Outlook, or Yahoo Calendar, event data is added to that provider's URL and sent to the selected provider under its own privacy policy. The extension does not keep server-side copies of generated files or QR codes.
The extension does not request special browser permissions and does not request host permissions for website access. It does not read visited page content, track browsing history, or make background network requests for event generation. Opening an external calendar happens only after the user clicks the corresponding button.
Calendar Event Generator does not use analytics, advertising SDKs, advertising identifiers, cookies, or tracking mechanisms. We do not sell users' personal data or disclose it to third parties except when the user explicitly opens the event in a selected external calendar provider.
Users can remove the local draft and extension data through browser settings, site or extension data cleanup, or by uninstalling the extension. Because event data is not sent to a server, InetTools has no separate server-side copy to delete.
We may update this policy when the extension or legal requirements change. For privacy questions, contact us at support@inettools.net.
